Flávio César Maia Luz

Biography

Mr. Flávio César Maia Luz serves as a Managing Partner of Doing Business consulting. Mr. Luz has been Vice-President of corporate and finance at Cofra Latin America Ltda - C&A Group since 2001. From 1976 to 1998, he worked at Duratex, where he served as an Executive Vice-President from 1993 to 1998. He served as the Chairman of the Board at Ser Educacional S.A. From 1999 to 2001, he served as Vice-President of the board of Director at Eletropaulo. He has been an Independent Director at Ser Educacional S.A. since August 12, 2013. He served as an Independent Director at Senior Solution S.A. since 2012. From 1999 to 2001, he served as Executive Director and at Eletropaulo. He served as a Director of Light S.A. since April 2014. He has been President of Fiscal Council at Ultrapar Holdings Inc. since 2005. He has been a Member of Fiscal Council at Itausa - Investimentos Itau S.A since April 2014. He has been Member of Fiscal Council at Ultrapar Participações S.A. since 2005. Mr. Luz serves as a Councilor at CTEEP - Companhia de Transmissão de Energia Elétrica Paulista and served as its Member of Fiscal Council. He holds Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) (1973); Postgraduate degree in Business Administration and Applied Economics from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (1978 and 1981, respectively); specialization courses in Corporate Finance from Harvard Business School (1986), in Market Strategy from Stanford University (1990), in Negotiation Techniques from California University (2004) and in Mergers and Acquisitions from Wharton Business School (2007); certified as a member of the Fiscal Council and Board of Directors by the Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa (IBGC - Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance).
