Biography
She holds a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Brasília (1980), a Masters in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Bahia (1995) and a PhD in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Bahia (2004). From July 1987 to March 2011, she worked at the National Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (IPHAN) where she held various positions, including the Director of the former Protection Department (1998-1999) and Director of the current Department of Intangible Heritage (2004-2011).
