Biography
José Eduardo Lahoz da Silva Ribeiro holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University, a master's degree in Biological Sciences (Plant Biology) from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University and a PhD in Plant Biology from the State University of Campinas (2007) ). He worked for fifteen years in floristic surveys in Central Amazonia, working as a researcher at the National Research Institute of the Amazon. He is currently an adjunct professor at the State University of Londrina. He has experience in the field of Botany, with emphasis on Phylogenetic and Floristic Systematics, working mainly on the following themes: Taxonomy of Moraceae, Sapotaceae and Orchidaceae and evolution of reproductive systems in Angiosperms.
