Biography
Barbara Lage Ignacio graduated in Biological Sciences (Bachelor of Marine Biology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1997) with master's and doctorate in Ecology (University of the State of Rio de Janeiro in 2002 and Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2008) and Ph.D. at the University of New South Wales - Australia. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology of the Institute of Medical Biochemistry at UFRJ, and He was also a researcher at the Institute of Studies of the Almirante Mar Moreira. Since 2013, assistant professor of the Department of Marine Sciences of the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP) Baixada Santista campus.
Research Interest
Main interests are the understanding of the ecological processes that regulate the structure of populations and communities in coastal marine environments and the interference that different human activities promote in these processes. He was interested in philosophy and scientific methodology and teaching and learning processes.
