Biography

Bruno Leite Mourato holds a bachelor's degree in Marine Biology from the Santa Cecilia University (2004), a Master's degree in Fisheries and Aquaculture from the Fisheries Institute - SP (2007) and a PhD from the Department of Oceanography of the Federal University of Pernambuco (2012). 2009) and at the Pacific Island Fisheries Science Center - National Marine Fisheries Service, Honolulu, Hawaii (2010). He is currently Adjunct Professor of the Marine Science Department of the Federal University of São Paulo and Permanent Professor of the Postgraduate Program in Marine and Coastal Biodiversity and Ecology at the Federal University of São Paulo.

Research Interest

Stock assessment and fisheries management of large pelagic fish; Dynamics of fishing fleets and; Evaluation models for fish stocks with limited data. The areas of greatest interest are: Evaluation of fish stocks and statistical models with a Bayesian approach applied to fishing. Currently, it has been developing scientific research in the area of ​​fishery resources and Oceanography of large pelagic fish, mainly in the following subjects:Stock assessment and Fisheries management of large pelagic fish;Dynamics of fishing fleets and; Evaluation models for fish stocks with limited data. The areas of greatest interest are: Evaluation of fish Stocks and statistical models with a Bayesian approach applied to fishing.
