Biography
Gianna Maria Griz Carvalheira holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pernambuco (1986), a Master's Degree in Botany from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (1993) and a PhD in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pernambuco (2001). Has experience in Genetics, with emphasis on Cytogenetics and Gene Regulation, working mainly on the following topics: cytogenetics and molecular genetics. Between 2006 and 2008, he did the sabbatical in Shanghai, China, which earned him the publication of the book Auroras Orientais, by Editora Novo Século (2010). He returned to the activities of the Federal University of São Paulo in January 2009.
Research Interest
Has experience in Genetics, with emphasis on Cytogenetics and Gene Regulation, working mainly on the following topics: cytogenetics and molecular genetics.
