Biography
Gislene Torrente-Vilara holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the State University of Maringá, a master's and a doctorate in Freshwater Biology and Inner Fishing by the National Institute of Amazonian Research. He is currently associate professor II at the Department of Marine Sciences of UNIFESP, Baixada Santista campus. Experience in themes related to patterns, processes and biogeography of freshwater fish and effects of the impact of hydroelectric projects in the Amazon. He teaches PPGBEMC and collaborates with PPGDRA / UNIR and Rede Bionorte (UFAM).
