Biography
Jose Carlos Prates holds a medical degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1959) and a doctorate in anatomy from the Federal University of São Paulo (1969). He is currently a professor at the Federal University of São Paulo, an ad hoc advisor to the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, an advisor to the Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation of Amparo à Pesq. of the State of Rio de Janeiro, advisor of the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University and scientific advisor to the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo. He has experience in the area of ​​Morphology, with emphasis on Human Anatomy, working mainly in the following subjects: anatomy, arteries, mao, superior cerebellar artery and heart, physical anthropology, circulatory system.
