Biography
Neide Hyppolito Jurkiewicz Graduated in Pharmacy from the University of São Paulo (1954) and PhD in Pharmacology from the Paulista School of Medicine of the Federal University of São Paulo (1972). Specialization in Molecular Pharmacology with EJ Ariens from the Catholic University of the Netherlands (1964-1965). Postdoctoral fellow with Robert Furchgott from the University of New York-SUNY (1972-1973). Head of the Department of Pharmacology - UNIFESP (1990-1999).
Research Interest
General Pharmacology. It works in the following subjects: preclinical pharmacology, smooth muscle, natural products, mediators and neurotransmission.
