Biography
Nilo Francisco Cano Mamani PhD in Sciences from the University of São Paulo. Postdoctoral studies at IF-USP and IPEN / CNEN-SP. Currently Adjunct Professor in the Department of Marine Sciences - UNIFESP. Experience in the area of ​​Condensed Matter Physics, working mainly in the following subjects: luminescence, electronic paramagnetic resonance (EPR), optical absorption, intrinsic defects, impurities of transition metals and color centers in natural and artificial crystals; dosimetry and dating by thermoluminescence, optically stimulated luminescence and RPE; analysis by activation with neutrons, analysis of archeological ceramics and clays. Study of the electronic and optical properties of silicate crystals, using the ab initio method, based on DFT formalism.
Research Interest
