Biography

Rosilda Mendes holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho - UNESP Rio Claro Campus (1979), a Masters in Education: History, Politics, Society from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (1994), PhD in Public Health from the University of São Paulo Paulo (2000) and postdoctoral fellowship from New Mexico University / USA (2006). He is an associate professor at the Federal University of São Paulo, Campus Baixada Santista, deputy head of the Department of Public Policy and Public Health, professor of the Professional Master's Program Teaching in Health Sciences and the Postgraduate Program in Social Work and Social Policies . He has experience in Public Health, with emphasis on Health Promotion, working mainly on the following topics: health work, health promotion, healthy cities, public health, health education, health training and social participation.She is an ad hoc advisor of the Revista de Saúde Pública, Revista Saúde e Sociedade, of the Interface Magazine: communication, health and education, of the Brazilian Journal of Occupational Health, of Revista Movimento, of the Revista Saúde em Debate (CEBES).
