Has experience in morphology, in general, with emphasis on Embryology and Developmental Biology and Reproduction. It uses several techniques in studies on male reproduction which include morphometry and stereology; immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence; flow cytometry; Comet assay as well as techniques for investigation of sperm quality and quantitative sperm data. The impact of spermatogenic damage as well as quantitative and qualitative sperm damage on offspring viability is also investigated. She is a teacher of the postgraduate program in Structural and Functional Biology (formerly Morphology) since 1994, at Masters and PhD levels,

Research Interest

In the field of research, he mainly works in the field of Biology of Male Reproduction and Reproductive Toxicology, with emphasis on the following topics: normal and abnormal spermatogenesis in mammals (using the mouse as a model); ultrastructure of Leydig and Sertoli cells from mammals, programmed cell death by apoptosis in the testis and epididymis, action of cell protectors against spermatogenic damage caused by drugs, pathologies and alterations of metabolism.
