Biography
Sang Won Han holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry, a master's and a doctorate in biochemistry from the University of São Paulo, a postdoctoral degree in gene therapy from the University of Washington and a bachelor's degree in biophysics from the Federal University of São Paulo. He was a Professor of Biochemistry at Unesp-Rio Claro from 1988-1996, and since 1996 is Professor of Biophysics at the Paulista School of Medicine at Unifesp. He is currently a full professor of biophysics at Unifesp. He was co-founder of the Interdisciplinary Gene Therapy Center (CINTERGEN) at Unifesp, and was director since its foundation in 2004 until 2010 (CINTERGEN's current name is CTCMol). The main lines of research are: gene therapy of ischemic and genetic diseases, cancer and DNA vaccine.
