Biography
Soraya Soubhi Smaili Graduation from the University of São Paulo (1985). Master's degree (1989) and PhD (1995) in Pharmacology by the Paulista School of Medicine - Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP). Postdoctoral degrees at Thomas Jefferson University (1997) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) (1998-1999), USA. Free Teaching by Escola Paulista de Medicina - UNIFESP (2005). Coordinator of the Laboratory of Signaling of Calcium and Cell Death and the Multiuser Laboratory of Confocal Microscopy of the Escola Paulista de Medicina. Member of the Board of Directors of the International Cell Death Society (ICDS) since 2004.
Research Interest
Mechanisms of death and cell survival, cytotoxicity.
