Biography
Antonio David Cattani holds PhD from the Université de Paris I - Panthéon-Sorbonne (1980), postdoctoral degree at the Ecole de Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (Paris, 1993-1994). Professor of Sociology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and the Postgraduate Program in Sociology; Visiting Professor at Université Laval (Québec - Canada), Visiting Researcher at Oxford University - 2010-2011. Ad hoc consultant: CNPQ, CAPES, FINEP, UFRGS Publishing House, Scielo, Social Sciences journals. Fapergs Award 2007 Researcher featured in Human and Social Sciences. Winner of the Açorianos -SMCultura- 2007 - Humanities Essays category (c / L. Holzmann). Organizer and author of several books published in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, France, England, Italy, Mexico and Portugual. Coordinator of the website www.dmtemdebate.com.br. Editor of the journal Sociologies (Qualis A1) between 2012-2016.
