Biography
Arí Roisenberg graduated in Geology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1966), having obtained the title of Master and PhD in Geosciences (1979 and 1989) by the Postgraduate Program in Geosciences of UFRGS. He is a lecturer at the Geosciences Institute of UFRGS and, since 1990, Full Professor of Ignatic Petrology at the same institution, acting as doctoral advisor in the area of ​​Geochemistry in the Geosciences Program. It has scientific cooperation with researchers from the universities of Tubingen (Germany), Rottenburg (Germany), Ben Gurion (Israel). Instituto Weizmann (Israel), among others, as well as researchers from several Brazilian institutions. He was Director of the Geosciences Institute of UFRGS, served as a member of the Advisory Committee on Geosciences of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development - CNPq and as a member of the Technical and Scientific Council of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel - Capes, as well as Coordinator of the Area of ​​Geosciences in the same institution during four administrations.
Research Interest
Leads the research group Geochemistry and Litogeochemistry, focused on the geochemistry of volcanic rocks, environmental geochemistry and hydrogeology.
