Biography
Carlos Eduardo Valente Dullo Graduated (2005) by the School of Sociology and Politics of São Paulo, master (2008) and doctor (2013) in Social Anthropology by the National Museum - UFRJ, developed postdoctoral research with the Department of Anthropology of USP (2013-2016) as FAPESP Fellow. He was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Social Anthropology at Cambridge University (2015), and one of the founders of the Comparisons discussion group, and was the 2015 Fellow of the Institute of Critical Social Inquiry at the New School for Social Research. He is an associate professor of the Department of Anthropology and PPGAS of UFRGS, coordinator of the Nucleus of Studies of Religion (NER) and member of the Nucleus of Research in Contemporary Culture (NUPECS). He is also an associate researcher at CEBRAP (Núcleo Religiões no Mundo Contemporâneo ). It has as a focus of interest the interweaving of the production of subjectivities, of religious and secular phenomena, and of pedagogical theories and policies. The researches have observed both contemporary aspects, using ethnographic method in a Catholic Social Center focused on the social inclusion of children and youth in the periphery of São Paulo, as well as historical aspects, such as the production of democratic subjectivities and the formation of a secular society in Brazil during the 20th century.

The areas of activity are: Anthropology of Religion (Christianity), Politics and Secularism; Anthropology of Morals and Ethics; Anthropological Theory; Social Policies (Democratization and Inclusion), Education, Political and Social Thought and History of Social Sciences. of religious and secular phenomena and of pedagogical theories and policies.
