Biography

Éder Cláudio Lima holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (1991; Undergraduate Work in Electrochemistry- 4 years to completion), a Masters in Chemistry - University of São Paulo / FFCLRP (1994; 1 year and 11 months and a PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (1998, 4 years to completion, PhD in Analytical Chemistry), and also did his postdoctoral studies at the Center for Nuclear Energy in Agriculture (CENA-USP ) from September 1998 to January 2000 (Atomic Absorption Spectrometry with Electrothermal Atomization). He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He works in the Graduate Programs in Chemistry of UFRGS (PPQG-UFRGS) and Materials Sciences of UFRGS (PGCIMAT-UFRGS), as Permanent Professor and supervisor of master's and doctoral degrees. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Hazardous Materials (Elsevier) since January 2007 and has been a member of the Editorial Board of Analytica Chimica Acta (Elsevier) since October 2007; member of the editorial board of the Algerian Journal of Environmental Science and Technology since July 2016.

Research Interest

He has experience in Chemistry, with emphasis in Environmental and Analytical Chemistry and Green Chemistry, acting mainly in the following subjects: adsorption, treatment of effluents, removal of inorganic and organic components of industrial effluents by adsorption.
