Biography
Doctor of the State University of Campinas (1992). He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has experience in the areas of Inorganic Chemistry and Chemistry of Nanostructured Materials, working mainly on the following topics: silicon-based hybrid chemistry, ionic silsesquioxanes, sol-gel synthesis method , optical devices, electrochemicals, catalysts, adsorbent materials of environmental interest, films, sensors and biosensors.

Inorganic Chemistry and Materials Science, working mainly in the following subjects: sol-gel, silica and nanomaterials (hybrid nanostructured materials)
