Biography
He holds a degree in Agronomy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul / UFRGS (1980), a master's degree in Phytotechnology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1986) and a PhD Sandwich in Agronomy (Fitotecnia) - UFRGS / COLEGIO DE POST GRADUADOS from Mexico 1998). He is currently a Full Professor at the Faculty of Agronomy of UFRGS. He has been working in the Phytotechnical Postgraduate Program, directing masters and doctoral students for about 20 years, and has been working in the undergraduate program for 30 years, teaching diverse disciplines in fruit growing.
Research Interest
He develops projects in the area of ​​Phytotechnology, with emphasis on the Physiology of Temperate Fruit Plants (Rosaceae and Viticulture), acting mainly on the following themes: dormancy ecophysiology, cultural treatments, pruning and conduction systems, canopy management, fruit thinning, conventional breeding , phytosanitary and integrated production.
