Biography
João Luiz Ellera Gomes holds a medical degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1977), a master's degree in Orthopedics and Traumatology from the Paulista School of Medicine in São Paulo (1990) and a PhD in Surgical Medicine from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2002). He is currently a physician at the Orthopedics and Traumatology Service of the Hospital de Clínicas in Porto Alegre, a physician at the Mãe de Deus Hospital, a physician at the Hospital Moinhos de Vento Hospital and an Adjunct Professor IV at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul
Research Interest
Medicine, with emphasis in Orthopedic Surgery, acting mainly on the following subjects: ligament reconstruction, arthroscopy, surgical techniques, knee disorders and anterior cruciate ligament.
