Biography
He holds a PhD in Animal Science from the Federal University of Viçosa - UFV (1999), post-doctoral degree from UFV (2009), and a PhD in Animal Science from the Federal University of Pelotas (PUC-RS). postdoctoral degree from the University of Guelph (Canada, 2014). He is currently Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and was Chief of the Department of Animal Science from June 2011 to September 2013.
Research Interest
He has experience in the area of ​​Animal Science, with emphasis on Animal and Genomic Improvement, working mainly on the following topics: genetic parameters, growth curves, mixed model methodology, genotype-environment interaction with Bayesian approach, random regression, model bioeconomic, multiracial genetic evaluation, population genetic structure and pedigree analysis, detection of crazy controllers of quantitative traits, genomic selection, landscape genetics, georeferencing, imputation of SNP markers, selection signature, censored data, wide genomic selection, ROH. > CNPq Scholarship - Level 2.
