Professor of Pediatric Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He holds a medical degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1983), a Master's degree in Medicine: Medical Sciences from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1993), PhD in Pneumological Sciences by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1996), postdoctoral studies in General, Thoracic and Tracheal Pediatric Surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, University of London, England, UK (2008) ) and Pediatric Airway Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital, Harvard University, Boston, USA (2013). Professor of Pediatric Surgery, Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine, University of São Paulo-USP (2010).
