Biography
He holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (1987) and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the Paulista State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1991). He completed postdoctoral studies at the University of Iowa (USA) under the guidance of Prof. Richard F. Jordan (1996-1998). He was a professor at the University of Rennes (France) (2004). He was director of the Catalysis Division of the Brazilian Chemical Society in the biennium 2004-2006. He was Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Chemistry in the period of 2009-2012. He is currently Professor of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry / Institute of Chemistry - UFRGS. He has experience in the field of Chemistry, with emphasis on Organometallic Compounds, working mainly in the development of catalytic systems applied to the selective production of alpha-olefins
