Paulo Augusto Netz

Biography

Paulo Augusto Netz holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1989), a master's degree in chemistry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1992) and a doctorate in chemistry from the Universität Bielefeld, Germany (1997). He holds postdoctoral degrees from the Universität Bielefeld (1997) and the Max Planck Institut für Polymerforschung (Mainz, Germany, 2014-2015). He is currently associate professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has published 49 articles in specialized journals and 82 papers in annals of events. It has 2 books published and 3 chapters of books. He supervised 7 master's dissertations, 2 doctoral theses, co-supervised 4 master's dissertations, guided 15 scientific initiation works and 8 completion work in the areas of Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemistry and Physics Teaching. He is currently leading 1 scientific initiation work, 1 master's thesis and 4 doctoral theses, as well as a doctoral co-orientation.

He works in the area of ​​Chemistry, with emphasis in Theoretical Chemistry. In his Lattes curriculum, the most frequent terms in the contextualisation of scientific, technological and artistic-cultural production are: Molecular Dynamics, Simulation, Education in Chemistry, Water, physicochemistry, Diffusion, chemical kinetics, Gaseous diffusion, Multimedia and Physics-Chemistry of Polymers.
