Biography
Full Professor of Physiology and Endocrinology, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, held her PhD in the area of ​​Endocrinology at the Medical School of Ribeirão Preto / USP and Post-Doctorate in the Service of Endocrinology and Medecine of Reproduction, Hôpital Necker, University from Paris. Idealized, implemented and is the Coordinator of the Gynecological Endocrinology Unit of the Endocrinology Service of the Hospital de Clínicas of Porto Alegre, contributing to the medical-scientific development and consolidation of the Female Endocrinology in the Country. Their research uses complementary approaches, focusing on clinical, molecular, genetic and epidemiological, resulting in more than 150 scientific publications with 2229 citations in the ISI Web of Science (index H = 24). In the training of human resources, he directed 29 PhDs and 43 Masters and supervised 12 postdoctors. She is a co-editor of the Archives of Endocrinology and Metabolism and is a member of the Women's Midlife Health Editorial Board.
Research Interest
She has experience in clinical and translational research in this area, with emphasis on hyperandrogenism and polycystic ovarian syndrome; menopause, osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease in women.
