Biography

She graduated in Physiotherapy (2006) from UFSM, Master and PhD in Neuroscience at UFRGS (2009). Do I work as an assistant professor in the Department of Morphological Sciences? ICBS? UFRGS since 2009 and in the Postgraduate Program in Neurosciences as a teacher and teacher. With regard to the training of human resources. Shecoordinated 2 graduation courses, 5 master's degrees, 1 doctorate, and are in the process of orienting 2 students of scientific initiation, 2 master's degrees and 3 doctorates. master's degree). She coordinate the research group "Plasticity of neurodevelopment (PND)", in which we investigate how the physical activity of the parents can influence the physical, cognitive and encephalic development of the offspring.

Research Interest

She also studied the influence of physical activity on the fertility of parents. Considering that adverse insults at critical periods of development reprogram the brain via epigenetic modifications, determining how an organism interacts with and responds to exposures and experiences during life, the hypothesis of these studies is that parental physical activity also acts on these mechanisms of reprogramming, causing positive outcomes on the behavior and development of the offspring.
