Biography

Tania Ferreira Cestari holds a medical degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1974), a PhD in Medicine (Dermatology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1990) and a PhD in Medicine (Dermatology) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Dermatology at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He is an Effective Member of the Brazilian Society of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, Womens Dermatological Society, American Society of Photobiology, International Society of Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology Society, Pigmentary Disorders Academy. President of the Latin American Society of Photobiology and Photomedicine, member of the International Affairs Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Womens Dermatological Society and member of the Maria Duran Commission of the International Society of Dermatology. It belongs to the editorial board of JEADV. Journal of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology and the Brazilian Annals of Dermatology

Research Interest

He has experience in the area of ​​Medicine, with emphasis in Dermatology, acting mainly in the following subjects: photobiology, photosensitive dermatoses, vitiligo, atopic dermatitis, quality of life, melasma, treatment and children.
