Biography
He holds a degree in Physiotherapy from the Federal University of the Jequitinhonha and Mucuri Valleys (2008). Master's degree (2011) and PhD (2015) by the Graduate Program in Health Sciences: Infectology and Tropical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine of UFMG. He holds a doctorate sandwich at the Cleveland Clinic (Lerner Research Institute), OH, USA, under the supervision of Dr. Richard Ransohoff from July 2013 to July 2014. Postdoctoral degree from the Department of Biochemistry and Immunology, Institute of Biological Sciences, UFMG (2015-2016). She is currently a professor at the Department of Morphology at UFMG. She is a lead researcher at the Minerals Group for the Study of Cranioencephalic Trauma at CNPq. During his academic career he has worked mainly in the areas of behavioral and cognitive neuroscience and experimental and clinical neuroimmunology.
