Biography

He holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro - UENF (2005), a PhD in Biological Sciences: Physiology and Pharmacology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG (2007) and a PhD in Biotechnology Medica (Ostetology and Gynecology) Degli Studi Di Siena - UNISI (2011), Italy, with a sandwich / postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Francisco - UCSF (Reproductive Sciences - 2010). In Brazil, his Diploma in "Dottore di Ricerca" was recognized as Doctor of Biological Sciences: Physiology and Pharmacology by the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG (2012). His postdoctoral fellowship was held at the University of Toronto - U of T (Physiology & Pharmacology - 2013) and worked as a collaborative researcher in Brazil (fellowship of young talents from the Science without Borders program) at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ. He is currently Adjunct Professor of the Morphology Department of the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG and PhD Advisor in the Graduate Program in Cell Biology at UFMG.

Gestational arboviroses and fetal-placental, neurological and behavioral development, Gestational malnutrition and fetal and intrauterine pro-inflammatory states, ABC transporters in pregnancy and preterm birth, Evaluation of intra uterine growth trajectory and placental nutrient transport of IVF-conceti mouse, ABC transporters in pregnancy and preterm birth, Transplacental Transport of Nutrients and Assisted Reproduction Drugs, Transplacental Transport of Drugs: Role of Oxygen and Infectious Processes Regulating the Modulation of Multidrug Resistanc.
