Biography
He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of São Carlos (1998), a master's degree in Agronomy from the University of São Paulo (2002) and a PhD in Agronomy from the University of São Paulo (2006). postdoctoral fellowship (2009/2010) at King's College London and at Harvard University - Harvard Medical School (2014-2015). Currently holds the position of Adjunct Professor of the Department of Morphology, Institute of Biological Sciences, Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He has experience in the areas of Animal Biotechnology, Gene Expression, Cell Biology and Development, with emphasis on muscle and bone development.
Research Interest
Functional characterization of chicken: functional characterization of members of the RGM family of adductors of axons during the development of skeletal musculature in gallus gallus embryos, Identification of sequences expressed during the development of skeletal musculature in birds, Identification and characterization of expressed transcripts during development of skeletal musculature in birds, Axon advisors and skeletal muscle development in vertebrates, Odontogenesis and bone remodeling.
