Biography
Graduated in Pharmacy (1996-2000) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). He holds a master's degree (2000-2002) and Ph.D. (2002-2006) in Pharmacology, at the Medical School of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (USP-RP). He was awarded a post-doc scholarship by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Germany), having worked at the Johannes Gutenberg Universität, Mainz (2006-2007). He worked as a visiting researcher at the Center for Regenerative Therapies - Dresden (March to July 2008) and at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry - Munich (2008/2009, 2009/2010, 2010/2011). He worked in the year 2014 as a visiting researcher at the Department of Psychology, University of Cambridge. Since August 2008 he is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Institute of Biological Sciences, UFMG. Has experience in Neuropsychopharmacology.
Research Interest
1-Pharmacology of Cannabis, Canabinoids, Endocanabinoides and Endovaniloides. 2-Pharmacology of Antipsychotics.
