Biography
He holds a degree in veterinary medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG - 1989), a master's degree in animal science from the same institution (1994) and a doctorate in animal science - University of Alberta (2000); postdoctoral degree from Wageningen University (2011). She is an associate professor in the Department of Morphology of the Institute of Biological Sciences (UFMG), coordinator of the Swine Sector of the Experimental Farm. Helio Barbosa (Veterinary School - UFMG) and sub-coordinator of the Graduate Program in Cell Biology (ICB - UFMG). He has collaborated in projects developed at the Roslin Institute (Edinburg University), Swine Research and Technology Center - University of Alberta, and at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). Currently, is president of the Brazilian Association of Specialized Swine Veterinarians in Minas Gerais (ABRAVES MG) and a member of the Board of Directors of the International Pig Veterinary Society. He has experience in Veterinary Medicine, with emphasis on Animal Reproduction, acting in the following lines of research: interactions between nutrition and reproduction, vertebrate reproduction biology, structural biology and pathophysiology of reproduction and artificial insemination in swine.
