Biography

Did PhD in Cell Biology and in Physiology and Pharmacology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), PhD in Cell Biology from UFMG (2013). Master in Human Anatomy, Federal University of São Paulo / UNIFESP (2008); Specialist in Physical Activities for Special Groups at the University Center of Belo Horizonte / UNI-BH (2005); Graduated in Physical Education from UNI-BH (2004). Effective member of the Brazilian Society of Anatomy (SBA) since 2008. She holds the Human Anatomy Proficiency degree awarded by the SBA in 2012. She taught Human Anatomy at UNI-BH and Pitágoras College. She is currently Assistant Professor A, level I, Department of Morphology of the Institute of Biological Sciences of UFMG, where she teaches Human Anatomy disciplines and researches the following topics: biotechnology applied to the treatment of glaucoma and the ocular renin-angiotensin system. Within this line of research he developed a bio-device for the treatment of glaucoma, whose patent has already been transferred to a company and is in clinical trials phase.
