Biography
Master in Biological Sciences - Physiology and Pharmacology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2005) and PhD in Physiology and Pharmacology from Federal University of Minas Gerais (2008). He holds postdoctoral degrees in Pathology and Cell Biology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais and in Immunology from the University of Calgary, Canada. He is Academic Editor of PLoS One and Frontiers in Immunology. He is currently Associate Professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Executive Director of the Brazilian Cellular Signaling Society and Affiliated Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences (2015-2019). CEO and Principal Investigator of the Center for Gastrointestinal Biology (ICB / UFMG).
Research Interest
Participation of different pericytes in the pathogenesis of the sterile hepatic lesion.
