Biography
Bachelor in Biology at the University of Taubate (1978), Bachelor of Pharmacy and Biochemistry at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (1983), Master in Cell Biology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1987) and PhD in Cellular Biology from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1995). Retired in 2017 as Full Professor of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He is currently a volunteer professor at the Federal University of Minas Gerais and an adjunct professor at the MD Anderson Cancer Center at the University of Texas at Houston. Has experience in reproduction biology in human and veterinary medicine, acting mainly with spermatogonial biology and its behavior in experimental and pathological conditions.
