Biography

He has a bachelor's degree in Biology (1985) and a doctorate in Natural Sciences (1993), both from the National University of La Plata, Argentina. Since October 2006 he has been an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Zoology of the Biology Institute of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He received a scholarship from CONICET, Argentina (1985-1991); professor at the National University of Patagonia, Argentina (1991-1995); two-time visiting researcher of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (1996-1997 and 2005/06); Visiting professor and later assistant of the Federal University of Rondônia (1998-2006). He is a Specialist in the Paleobiology Database since 2006, an evaluator of the Council of Scientific and Technical Investigations of Argentina since 2006 and Research Associate of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, United States since 1993.
