Biography
Arthur José Vieira Porto holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering of São Carlos (1979), a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering of São Carlos (1983) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the School of Engineering of São Carlos (1990). He is currently a full professor at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in Mechanical Engineering, with emphasis on ultra-precision machining, working mainly on the following topics: modeling, simulation, control systems via networks, CAN communication protocol, petri nets and artificial neural networks.
