Biography
Benedito de Moraes Purquerio holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo - EESCUSP (1971), a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo - EESCUSP (1975), a Master's in Tribology from Univesity of Leeds - UK (1979) and PhD ) in Tribology by Univesity Of Leeds - UK (1982). He is currently a lecturer at the University of São Paulo and a professor - scientific researcher at the Mechanical Engineering Department of the School of Engineering of São Carlos - SP, since 1973. He has experience in manufacturing processes and in the design of machines in general and machine tools in particular . Currently coordinates research projects in the area of ​​Tissue Engineering, with emphasis on Biomaterials and Biocompatible Materials, incorporating mainly the following topics: advanced ceramics and polymers for medical and dental applications.
