Biography
Researcher at CNPq since 1996, IB Level He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of São Carlos (1986), a master's degree in Structural Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1990) and a PhD in Civil Engineering (structures) from the University of São Paulo Paulo (1993). He holds a postdoctoral degree from the Wessex Institute of Technology, UK in 1997-1998 and at the University of Cambridge, UK in 2006-2007. He is currently associate professor (free lecturer) at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in Structural Mechanics, working mainly in the following subjects: Finite Elements, Contour Elements, Non-Geometric Linearity, Non-Linearity Physics and Dynamics. It is currently interested in impact, inflatable and collapsible structures applied to the aeronautics, automobile and civil. It is also interested in constitutive models of materials exhibiting great deformations, such as rubbers, soil and aerated materials.
