Biography
Luiz Ricardo Kabbach de Castro completd his Doctor and Master in Business Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, ​​obtaining distinction and praise for his doctoral thesis, regarding the area of ​​corporate governance compared. He holds a degree in Production Engineering from the School of Engineering of São Carlos at the University of São Paulo and a Bachelor of Law from the São Carlos Law School. During his doctorate, he was a visiting professor at the University of Illinois, USA, from 2010 to 2011. He taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Illinois (USA), Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Chile), Universitat de les Illes Balears , IBMEC (currently INSPER), Faculty of Administration and Arts of Limeira and SENAC / SP. He is currently a Ph.D. professor at the Production Engineering Department of EESC - USP. Awarded the best article of the Annual Meeting of the Academy of International Business - Latin American Chapter 2013, and the 2011 "FEF" award for best academic article of the Foundation for Financial Studies of Spain, Madrid. He was a finalist for the GWU-CIBER Emerging Markets Award at the 2011 Academy of Management Annual Meeting, San Antonio, USA; Robert H. Schaffer Award for the best article in Applied International Management at the 2011 Academy of Management Annual Meeting, San Antonio, USA; and the award for best article in Theory in Strategy and International Business from the International Management Division of the 2011 Academy of Management Annual Meeting, San Antonio, USA. He presented his academic papers on governance and corporate finance at the major national and international congresses of the area, such as Academy of Managemet, Academy of International Business, Brazilian Meeting of Finances, Forum of Finances, ACEDE, among others. Co-author of the Handbook of Corporate Governance, edited by Oxford University Press, SAGE Handbook of Corporate Governance, edited by Sage Publications, and Capitalisms and Capitalism in the 21st Century, edited by Oxford University Press, and Strategy Management: Experiences and Lessons of Brazilian Companies, edited by Elsevier.Â
