Biography
Lazaro holds a degree in Geology from the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1978), a Master's degree in Geotechnics from the School of Engineering of São Carlos-USP (1981) and a PhD in Geotechnics from the School of Engineering of São Carlos-USP (1987). He is currently a full professor at the University of São Paulo. Has experience in the area of ​​Geosciences, with emphasis in Geology of Engineering and Environmental, and Environmental Geotechnics, working mainly in the following subjects: Geotechnical Mapping, Environmental Geotechnics, Geological and Geotechnical Risks, Water and Soil Pollution, Engineering Geology studies of degraded areas .Coordinator of the Post-Graduation Program in Geotechnics at EESC / USP from 2002 until the end of 2010, and serves as an advisor to CNPq, CAPES, FAPESP, FAPERJ and other entities supporting science.
