Biography
Osni holds a degree in Geology from the Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University (1982), a MSc in Geotechnics from the University of São Paulo (1987) and a PhD in Geotechnics from the University of São Paulo (1992). Post-Doctorate in the Laboratoire Central des Ponts Et Chausses - France. He is currently a Full Professor at the University of São Paulo. Scientific Advisor of the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo, scientific advisor to the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development, scientific advisor to the Araucária Foundation for Scientific and Technological Development of Paraná. Collaborator of the Brazilian Association of Engineering and Environmental Geology. He has experience in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on Geotechnics, working mainly on the following topics: erosion, geotechnical and geoenvironmental mapping,
