Biography
I´m currently a certified medical oncologist in Brazil who specializes in the treatment of patients with melanoma and sarcoma. I graduated with an M.D. in 2006 and subsequently completed my Internal Medicine Residency at Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Brazil. Soon after, I was selected for the fellowship program in Medical Oncology at Hospital Sírio Libanês, where I had the opportunity to act as Chief Fellow and general fellow´s representative to the Fellowship Program Steering Committee. I was subsequently appointed an Advanced Medical Oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in July 2014 for further subspecialty and research training in Melanoma and Sarcoma. During this time, I had the opportunity to take part in different research activities and in the development of several research protocols. Upon completion the Advanced fellowship Program, I returned to Brazil and joined the faculty at Instituto do Câncer do Estado de São Paulo, Universidade de São Paulo and also at Hospital Sírio-Libanês. Working in an academic Center, I have the priviledge to collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, nurses. I´m also the Co-coordinator of the Medical Oncology fellowship Program at Hospital Sírio Libanês.
