Biography

Tarcisio holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (1972), a Masters in Civil Engineering - University of California, Berkeley (1978) and a PhD in Civil Engineering - University of California, Berkeley (1981). Prof. RE Goodman. He is currently a professor at the University of São Paulo and manager of civil engineering - Themag Engenharia. He is President of ITA - International Tunneling and Underground Space Association. He is a consultant to the Research Council of Norway and the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo - FAPESP. He was a guest lecturer at the Master's Program in Underground Works at IHE-Delft, The Netherlands. Has experience in projects and research in Civil Engineering, with emphasis on underground works and Mechanicals of Rocks.
