Biography
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1992). Master in Physics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1995) and PhD in Physics in 1999 at the same university. From 2000 to 2003 he held postdoctoral studies at the Comissariat à l'Énergie Atomique - CEA-Saclay, France. From 2004 to 2006 he was a Visiting Researcher and a visiting professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. He is currently a full professor at the University of Vale do ParaÃba (UNIVAP) and develops his research activities in IP & D-UNIVAP. He has experience in Astronomy, with emphasis on Extragalactic Astrophysics, working mainly on the following topics: dynamics of stellar systems from observational and numerical approaches through numerical modeling of N-bodies; Galactic dynamics of binary X-ray / Microquasars stars, their own motions; observation and numerical modeling of clusters of stars and galaxies in interaction; morphological and kinematic analysis of galaxies. Works with high-performance parallel computing for N-body simulations.
