Biography

  Mr. Fabio Schvartsman serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Vale Australia (IP) Pty Limited. Mr. Schvartsman has been the Chief Executive Officer of Vale S.A. since May 22, 2017. Mr. Schvartsman served as the Chief Executive Officer and Member of Executive Board at Klabin S.A. from 2011 to May 3, 2017 and served as its Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer. He was Managing Partner of Ultra S.A. Mr. Schvartsman served as the Chief Executive Officer of Telemar Participações and San Antonio International. He worked for 10 years at Duratex and for 22 years at the Ultra Group. He served as Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer of Ultrapar Participações S.A. from 1990 to 2007. He serves as a Member of Signatura Lazard, San Antonio Internacional do Brasil and Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. He served as a Director of Companhia Brasileira de Distribuicao since 2007 and Ultrapar Participa es S.A. until April 2007. He served as an Independent Director of Gafisa S.A. since February 14, 2007. He served as Regular Director of Tele Norte Leste Participacoes S.A. He served as a Director of Telemar Norte Leste. He served as a Director of Contax Participações S.A. since April 26, 2007. He served as an Independent Director of Duratex SA until April 2014. He is the founder and President of FSCH Assessoria. Mr. Schvartsman has a degree in Engineering and has post-graduation degrees in Production Engineering from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo USP and in Business Administration from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
