Biography

Mr. Harry Schmelzer, Jr., has been the Chief Executive Officer of WEG S.A. since January 2008 and serves as its Executive President and Member of Executive Board. Mr. Schmelzer joined WEG in 1980 and worked as Chief of Sales of WEG Motores since 1983, Sales Manager at WEG Acionamentos since 1986 and Superintendent Director of WEG Acionamentos from 1992 to 2006. In 2007, he became International Director for Europe, based in Portugal. He served as an Executive President of WEG SA. Mr. Schmelzer holds a B.A. in Electrical Engineering and a post graduate degree in Business Administration in Brazil, with management and finance studies at Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University, USA) and Insead (France), along with finance studies with IMD International
