Biography
Dr. Herati received his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in 2008. He is currently an Infectious Disease Fellow in Dr. John Wherry’s laboratory in the University of Pennsylvania studying how age-related impairments of T follicular helper cells (Tfh) affect the efficacy of vaccination in the elderly population. In addition to the biology of Tfh, the Wherry lab has a major focus on understanding the mechanism and regulation of T cell exhaustion during chronic infections and cancer.
