Biography
Dr. Shopska graduated in biotechnology at Saint Petersburg., Russia in 1993. She received a specialisation in ‘Microbiology’ in 1999 from the Sofia Medical University. From 1994 and 2009, she worked as a microbiologist in the Department of Microbiological diagnostics and medical hygiene in the University Multidisciplinary Hospital ‘Saint Anna’ in Sofia. Since March 2009, she has been part of the ‘Clinical Microbiology’ Department in Tokuda Hospital Sofia. She is a member of the Bulgarian Association of Microbiologists and the European Society of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious diseases. Dr Shopska is participating on a regular basis in national Clinical Microbiology and Infections conferences, congresses, attends courses for improving her postgraduate qualifications etc.
